DELIVERING RESULTS FOR THE PAST 9 YEARS:
Significantly increased MCAS scores/Graduation rate to over 97%.
Reduced Administrative expenses/overhead from 12%
of total budget to under 7%
Lowered class sizes to improve student learning
Expanded community outreach through various
initiatives
Implemented new college credit partnerships with
Massachusetts colleges
Created a parent advisory council and parental
newsletter
Televised school committee meetings
Reduced Dracut’s transportation assessment costs from 61% to 28% in 2005: Sent $19.000 back to Dracut.
MY FUTURE GOALS & PRIORITIES FOR GL TECH HIGH SCHOOL : 2006-2009
MY PLATFORM FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS INCLUDES:
· Ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability
· Reducing classroom sizes: student/teacher ratio to improve student learning
· Continuing community outreach programs for Dracut residents and seniors
· Updating/expanding technology offerings for students
· Meeting the expectations of MCAS testing while maintaining the integrity of
vocational-technical training programs at Greater Lowell
* Promote cooperation between Gr. Lowell Tech. And the Dracut School
Department in order to maximize offerings for students.
